Dr. Sukin received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences at the Chicago Medical School after completing his undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. He then received a surgical internship, followed by an orthopedic residency, both at the University of Utah Medical Center. Following residency Dr. Sukin completed a rigorous fellowship program in Adult Reconstruction Total Joints and Osteotomies at the University of California San Diego.
Dr. Sukin is a leader in orthopedic surgery. He is regionally and nationally recognized for his expertise, having performed thousands of surgeries during his decades of practice, teaching, proctoring and advancing new techniques for total joint replacements through research. Dr. Sukin is an innovator in total knee replacement (TKR), anterior total hip replacement, partial knee replacement, revisions total knee and hip replacement and joint preservation surgery. Dr. Sukin is passionate about helping patients regain their quality of life and improving satisfaction rates, and decreasing downtime following surgery.
Dr. Sukin has been providing outreach care to the Gallatin Valley for years, but he's excited to finally become a part of the Bozeman community with his wife of 26 years, Lisa Hecht Sukin, PharmD. When not in the operating room or seeing patients, Dr. Sukin enjoys spending time with family, snow skiing, waterskiing and surfing, fly fishing, mountain biking, upland bird and big game hunting.
