Chief Executive Officer Bren Lowe announced to hospital employees on Friday, January 12 that he will be departing from Livingston HealthCare. Lowe has accepted the position of CEO at Star Valley Medical Center in Star Valley, Wyoming.
“It has been my pleasure to be a part of the LHC team these past five years,” says Lowe. “I am so proud of the many things we have accomplished together on behalf of our patients and community.”
Lowe has been CEO at Livingston HealthCare since August 2012. Under his leadership, the organization has accomplished many milestones, notably the opening of the new, state-of-the-art medical center at 320 Alpenglow Lane in October 2015. This was followed by being named in the top 20 out of over 1,300 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States by the National Rural Health Association in both 2016 and 2017.
“I know I share the sentiment of many at Livingston HealthCare when I say it has been a rewarding experience to work with Bren these past five and a half years,” says Michelle Becker, chair of the LHC Board of Directors. “Though his departure will be deeply felt, we wish him well as he takes his talents to the Star Valley community.”
Lowe will transition out of his current role at LHC over the next two to three months. Hospital leadership will begin the selection process for an interim CEO immediately.
