Livingston HealthCare Recognized as a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital in the Nation
(Livingston, MT) Livingston HealthCare (LHC) today announced it has been recognized as a 2022 Top 100 Critical Access Hospital. Compiled by The Chartis Center for Rural Health, this annual recognition program honors outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX™. The Hospital Strength INDEX aggregates data for more than 70 indicators, compiled into nine performance pillars, and ranks hospitals against national peer groups using a 0-100 scale for all performance categories.
This is a remarkable achievement, as there are over 1,300 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States. LHC’s performance ranked among the top in performance of all rural hospitals, large or small, up to 25 beds.
“Despite the challenges we faced this past year, we have come together to care for our community in a remarkable way. This recognition is proof of the amazing teamwork, dedication and resiliency of our LHC team. I am proud of our team’s commitment to our patients, community and each other,” said Deb Anczak, CEO of Livingston HealhCare.
Over the course of the last 12 years, the INDEX has established itself as the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. Leveraging publicly available data, the INDEX is trusted by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations and state offices of rural health across the country to measure and monitor performance across a variety of areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
