Livingston HealthCare Introduces Revolutionary Breast Cancer Biopsy Technology
(Livingston, MT) Livingston HealthCare proudly announces the implementation of Scout biopsy technology in breast cancer surgery, which no other hospital in the area yet uses. A result of the collaborative efforts of surgeon Dr. Jennifer Stevane, MD, and radiologist Dr. Johnathan Righetti, MD, the use of this technology signifies a significant leap forward in precision and patient care for individuals facing breast cancer diagnoses in our region.
Scout biopsy technology utilizes state-of-the-art imaging and wireless tracking systems to precisely locate and remove tumors with unparalleled accuracy. By offering real-time visualization of the tumor's exact location during surgery, this innovative approach eliminates the need for more invasive wire localization methods. The result is a more efficient and precise surgical procedure, leading to improved outcomes and minimized impact on surrounding healthy tissue for patients.
Dr. Jennifer Stevane, a highly skilled and respected surgeon, and Dr. Johnathan Righetti, a radiologist with extensive expertise in advanced imaging techniques, recognized the transformative potential of Scout biopsy technology. Through their collaboration at Livingston HealthCare, they have introduced this groundbreaking biopsy technology to our region, ensuring that area residents have access to the most advanced surgical techniques available.
"By working closely with Dr. Righetti and leveraging his expertise, we have integrated this technology into our procedures, resulting in more precise and effective outcomes for our patients,” said Dr. Stevane. “This collaboration marks a significant shift forward in our mission to provide the highest quality of care to our community."
Dr. Righetti noted that this technology is also more convenient to the patient, who can have the wireless device placed when it works with their schedule. “Traditional techniques require placement of wired devices on the day of surgery. The Scout can be placed at the patient’s convenience, sometimes weeks before the surgery. It streamlines the process for all involved, so the patient can focus on recovery more quickly.”
For those facing a breast cancer diagnosis, the pioneering efforts of Dr. Jennifer Stevane and Dr. Johnathan Righetti offer additional hope and confidence that they are receiving the highest standard of care close to home.
