Visitor Restrictions at Livingston HealthCare
Livingston HealthCare has placed visitor restrictions to allow us to minimize the spread of illness while ensuring families and loved ones are a part of the patient healing process. All visitors will continue to be screened for respiratory illness when entering the medical center.
Organization Wide:
- No visitors under the age of 18 years
- All visitors must wear a mask covering their nose and mouth
- Monday—Friday Visitors: Visitors need to enter through the main entrance for screening and check in
- Saturday and Sunday Visitors: Enter though the Emergency Department entrance for screening and access to the hospital floor
Hospital Floor
- Two healthy adult visitors per patient per day are permitted.
- The visitors are allowed one visit and will not be permitted re-entry throughout the day.
- Visiting hours are 9AM—4PM only.
- COVID-positive patients that are in isolation are not allowed visitors.
Exceptions include:
- Patients who are at the end of life may have additional visitors, if approved by the house supervisor.
- Minors may have either a parent or guardian stay beyond visiting hours, if approved by the house supervisor.
- Patients with altered mental status, developmental delays or behavioral health concerns may have one visitor stay beyond visiting hours, if approved by the house supervisor.
Emergency Department:
- One healthy adult visitor per patient per day is permitted
- The visitor is allowed one visit and will not be permitted re-entry throughout the day.
- Congregating in the ED waiting area is strongly discouraged.
Surgical Services
- Two healthy adult visitors per patient per day are permitted.
- The visitors are allowed one visit and will not be permitted re-entry throughout the day.
Exceptions include:
- Patients who are at the end of life may have additional visitors, if approved by the house supervisor.
- Minors may have either a parent or guardian stay beyond visiting hours, if approved by the house supervisor.
- Patients with altered mental status, developmental delays or behavioral health concerns may have one visitor stay beyond visiting hours, if approved by the house supervisor.
Family Birth Center
- Two healthy adult visitors and a licensed doula per patient.
- The visitor is permitted to leave and return over the course of the patient’s stay.
Infusion
- Visitors are not permitted

- Patients with altered mental status, developmental delays or behavioral health concerns may have one visitor.
Clinic and Other Outpatient Areas Not Mentioned
- Two healthy adult visitors per patient per day are permitted.
- The visitors are allowed one visit and will not be permitted re-entry throughout the day.
Exceptions include:
- One healthy adult spouse/partner/support person and a licensed doula per patient is permitted for prenatal/OB patients.
- Minors may have either a parent or guardian stay beyond visiting hours.
- Patients with altered mental status, developmental delays or behavioral health concerns may have one visitor stay beyond visiting hours.
