Medication Assistance Program
The Medication Assistance Program (MAP) at Livingston HealthCare is a free program that helps people get the prescriptions they need, but can't necessarily afford—whether they are uninsured, underinsured or are simply unable to pay for necessary medications.
Request Medication Assistance
The eligibility process begins by meeting with a MAP advocate to determine assistance type and eligibility requirements. For a MAP appointment, please call 406.823.6653.
What To Expect at Your First Appointment
Your MAP advocate will determine your eligibility based on the documents you provide, then complete and submit applications on your behalf. This process may take some time—usually around 30 minutes, with all needed documentation. Missing documents may delay the process, so please review the appointment checklist below for a list of required documents.
Appointment Checklist
-
Insurance card(s)
-
Income information for the entire household. This may include federal tax returns, the current year's social security award letter or two consecutive pay stubs.
-
Your entire household's out-of-pocket expenses for prescription medications. Your pharmacy can print out an itemized list of medications you have picked up for the calendar year, along with their associated prices.
What To Expect after Your First Appointment
After an one-on-one consultation, your MAP advocate will research available assistance programs that suit your individual situation, so you don't have to. Your MAP advocate determines your eligibility based on the documents you provide then, on your behalf, completes and submits applications to programs you are eligible for. It usually takes 4–6 weeks to receive a decision and to receive your first delivery of medications. While you wait, we are availabe to answer any questions that you may have.
